Trinity House Lighthouse Service

Trinity House was constituted under a Royal Charter in 1514. It is a unique maritime organisation with a wide range of objectives and responsibilities. Their online activities include...

  • Providing navigational information to mariners, ensuring the safety of shipping and the welfare of seafarers
  • Providing historical information on the lighthouses of England and Wales
  • Promoting their events and leisure facilities, including lighthouse visitor centres
  • Recruiting a new generation of mariners for the merchant navy

The website was designed to reflect Trinity's distinguished history and to appeal to the various target audiences involved in their daily activities.

In recent years we have also created three further satellite websites for specific branches of the organisation, each carefully designed to provide a consistent brand throughout the set of sites.
